Ready for the Mother of all scoops?
CBS president Nina Tassler confirms that Sarah Chalke has inked a deal to return to How I Met Your Mother this season for multiple episodes, igniting a new round of speculation that Stella is Ted’s mysterious missus.
And get this: Being the psychic that I am, I broke the news to Chalke herself last night at ABC’s press tour party here at the Beverly Hilton. Don’t believe me? Check out the video below! And then when you’re done, head over to the Ausiello TV hub for more video from Thursday’s ABC bash, including spoilery interviews with Grey’s star Brooke Smith, Lost’s Rebecca Mader, Pushing Daisies‘ Kristin Chenoweth, Desperate’s Dana Delany and Ausiello TV’s legendary scene-stealer Michael Urie (accompanied by sidekick Becki Newton). More videos will be uploaded to the ATV player throughout the day, so keep checking back.

Never mind about Sarah Chalke returning to HIMYM. What I would really like to know is will they ever bring back Hannigan’s husband Alexis Denisof back on the show. Or will Denisof ever get any acting work ever again.
I adore Sarah Chalke!!!
lol… so this isn’t the last season of Scrubs…? hmmm…
I found Chalke incandescently charming on HIMYM, but what I really want to know is how the Barney/Robin storyline is going to develop. That to me was the much greater cliffhanger of the finale …
My favorite thing about you move to EW is the astounding jump in video quality. these are great.
OMG I could kiss you for that interview with Brooke Smith. She’s so adorable!! Michael, you’re a hero in the Callie/Erica community today, my friend.
She looks so skinny!
haha Chris Lowell was very funny! Hope you get to go to that party Ausiello!
“Charlotte was a stripper for Ben’s parents.” lovely xD
Why did I not know about all your interview videos earlier?
They are all excellent, and they are feeding into my excitement for the new TV season. Oh gosh I hope I have enough time in college to watch tv! >_<
I’ve debated if I’d prefer Sarah Chalke to stick with Scrubs or leave for HIMYM, but now I’m convinced that she needs her own show. She’s a good enough actress to hold her own, and not have to rely on Braff or Radnor.
