Shock Video: 'Prison Break's' Dr. Sara... With a Head!

Categories: Prison Break

Beheaded Prison Break heroine Sarah Wayne Callies attended Fox’s press tour bash last night at Santa Monica Pier and had lots to say about her controversial comeback, rumored bad blood between her and the show’s producers and why she may have underestimated Dr. Sara fans.

Thanks for sharing. She seems so nice and gracious about what happened last year. I also stopped watching when Sara “died”. I’m glad that you told her about the feelings shared by many PB viewers last season.

Very excited that she will be back on PB, still a big fan of the show and watch all the episodes they have an excellent case with the exception of the woman who plays Gretchen

  • Dana

    Sorry I meant cast

Wow… what an incredibly classy and thoughtful interview she gave. I love her character but I think this is the first time I’ve seen Sarah Wayne Callies the actor interviewed live, and I like what I saw. Talk about gracious!
I know it’s your job to dig but I think you did her a huge disservice by trying to get her to dish dirt on any conflicts between her and the producers. She’s back, she sounds really happy about it… let’s all just be glad and not try to sling mud.

I love SWC, that was a lovely interview! I think I’m going to watch the show again the coming season.
I mean ever since they had a head-in-the-box incident on PB, I tuned out.

i love this woman. what a great interview, i looked like she was going to cry, bless her x

When they killed her, that was the first time I had ever stopped watching a show part way through the season like that. I’ll watch just for her!

I totally agree. She was extremely gracious in the way she answered the question. Like you said, Mike, it’s water under the bridge now. SWC is back, Sara is back, and the fans get to see M&S back together again. Everybody’s happy. Why rock the boat?
I was one of the people who stopped watching too, but I’m happy to say that I’m looking forward to S4. Does anybody know if FX is going to run a marathon of previous episodes as they’ve done in the past?

I quit watching when Sara “died.” I will be back again this season.

Hi my name is Ashley and I also go by Spydancer around the websites… I was one of those who helped establish the ‘Save the Good Doctor Campaign’ last year and I really could just kiss you for saying that you kinda felt that Michael and Sara were the heart of the show. I’m so happy someone else feels the same way I do. Lovely interview. Stop trying to dig for the dirty details, though, SWC is too much of a class act for that! You are a man after my own heart though :)

I was so excited and anxious when I saw this video was up that I had to take some bracing moments to collect myself… heheh!
I started watching seasons one and two of PB this summer and got hooked. Then, I read spoilers for season 3 and found out Sara died! I was HORRIFIED! But then, two minutes later I read that she’d been brought back due (in part) to fan ruckus.
Season 4 is supposed to be PB’s last, right? Here’s hoping they go out strong!
    Thanks for the great interview!

i think CBS is being copycats with FOX they kill off someone named “sara”(tancredi) on prison break, so CSI follows suit with killing off a “sara”(fuller) on that show. now ironically, both shows on both networks planned to resurect the aforementioned “saras”…both SWC as well as jorja fox were preggers at the time. of their departures.

  • Aurelia

i stopped watching when she died. im sooo gonna watch the 4th season though:D

I can’t say I’m one of the PB fans that left after Sara died, but the show hit some lows during the frustrating season 3. If bringing Sara back will resuscitate the little quality that’s left in a once riveting show, I’m all for it. Then again, I can say the same for 24 season 7 with Tony Almeda, but I won’t get into that…
Also, this might be a Freudian slip on my part, but did anyone catch a sexual subtext behind SWC’s comment about ‘breaking in’ (when discussing Prison Break’s 4th season)? I can’t be the only one who noticed that. If that’s true, more good news for Michael/Sara fans! If not, well…look how warped I am in comparison. :)

  • Very Happy

It didnt do anything for the storyline to kill off Sara, so like alot of people I was very upset and stopped watching, only catching things here and there. So glad she’s back and I’m definitely going to tune in this season.

  • Mari

I won’t mind watching PB again is Sara is back.

  • Mari

I won’t mind watching PB again now that Sara is back.*

Typical TV. Character decapitated, character comes back. Result: Kids don’t understand dead is dead because people on TV come back. The people who think up this violent garbage and those who approve it for airing would change their minds if their families were to be touched by such crimes.

I was surprised when they actually “killed” Sara off but understood what the writers were doing. In retrospect it really gave Michael an edge we’ve never seen before. I liked seeing him lose some control. He’s always played his cards close and you never quite know what he’s thinking. Sara’s “death” really shook him up. I think it really scared him, losing one more member of his family.
I also find it ironic that in a way SWC is back due to the writer’s strike. Had that not happened PB would have had a very different season ender. I am sure however, they would have found a way to bring her back anyway.

  • Shilz

DrBear I certainly hope that children who are not aware of the finality of death would not be watching this show in the first place. That said, Wile E. Coyote made it through quite a few scrapes himself..
